Physical Accessibility
NOTICE REGARDING PHYSICAL ACCESSIBILITY AT BLACK BEAR LODGE
Black Bear Lodge is located in the rural foothills of Northern Georgia. Our campus is spread out over more than 59 acres of rugged, uneven landscape. Though many of our 30 buildings have accessible features for individuals with mobility impairments, traveling from one building to another may prove difficult, or even dangerous, for certain individuals due to natural features of the landscape. Please take note that the natural topography of the property includes steep drops, uneven ground, and excessive slopes that may be dangerous for individuals in wheelchairs or other mobility assisted devices. In addition, our treatment program focuses in part on outdoor experiential therapy, utilizing local ziplines, hiking trails, and other outdoor activities.
Consistent with Black Bear Lodge’s commitment to inclusion and non-discrimination, we are happy to discuss whether our property and program are the right fit for you. Please contact the Admission Center for further information.
